Meeting Rooms
Please be aware that groups may not charge admission, solicit, or require donations for their meetings. No products or services may be promoted, solicited, or sold.
The Elmhurst Public Library has meeting rooms for Library-sponsored meetings or programs. Community groups may use meeting rooms when such use will not interfere with the primary functions of the Library. To reserve a room you must have an Elmhurst Public Library card in good standing.
The following groups may use meeting rooms for cultural, civic, and informal educational purposes:
- Library-related groups
- Elmhurst governmental organizations
- Elmhurst not-for-profit organizations or corporations
- Elmhurst non-business-related local clubs or organizations
- Meetings of Elmhurst businesses ($25 fee per meeting)
Meetings shall not hinder the public’s use of the Library in any way. Examples of such disruptions include, but are not limited to:
- Excessive size or noise
- Excessive technology assistance
- Activity outside the meeting room
- Any other disturbance that violates the Public Conduct Policy
Reservations
Meeting rooms may be reserved up to 90 days in advance. Room requests will be reviewed within 24 hour on standard business days (Monday-Friday). Weekend requests will be reviewed on Mondays.
Virtual Meeting Rooms are also available.
Rooms are available:
Monday–Friday: 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 5 – 8:30 p.m.
Saturday: 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Sunday: 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Groups may arrive at the meeting room up to 15 minutes before the meeting begins and must leave the room at their scheduled end time. All meeting rooms must be vacated 15 minutes prior to closing time.
Reservations are held 30 minutes after the start time.

Virtual Meeting Rooms
If you can’t find time to meet in person, use one of our convenient online breakout rooms!
To join your meeting, click the link above.* Then follow the prompts until you see one of our staffers’ friendly faces. They will assign you a private virtual room. If you’d prefer to join by phone, call the Information Desk at (630) 279-8696.
What is a virtual meeting room? How does it work? We recognize that not everyone feels comfortable setting up virtual meeting room spaces. Make it easy and let the Library host your group online. Set up a reservation up to one month ahead. Then on the day of your appointment, meet up online, and follow the prompts until you see a staff member’s friendly face. They will assign you a private virtual room.
*Note: Video conference meetings require a software download from Zoom that you will be prompted to allow. If you’re having any trouble, contact us by phone at (630) 279-8696.
