Important Information

Earlier today, the Library received a bomb threat via a phone call. The Library was evacuated and Police and a bomb sniffing dog did a thorough search of the building. At approximately 3:45 p.m. the Police gave us the all clear to open the building.

The Library is now open. Normal operations will resume and evening programs will proceed as scheduled.

If you were in the Library during the evacuation event and you left personal items, you may get them any time before we close at 9 p.m. today. Please stop by the Checkout Desk and we will escort you to your items. All items are in a secured area.

Thank you to all our patrons and staff who evacuated the building in an orderly, calm way. A big thank you to the Elmhurst Police Department for their quick and thorough response.
