Board of Trustees

Elmhurst Public Library is governed by a nine-member citizen Board of Trustees. Members of the Board of Trustees are appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council for three-year terms beginning July 1. Citizens interested in being considered for a seat on the Board must complete an application form available at City Hall or on the City of Elmhurst web site: elmhurst.org.

Agendas are posted at least 48 hours prior to the meeting

The Board meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. Meetings are held in the Kossmann Room.

EPL’s fiscal year runs January 1-December 31. In accordance with Illinois law, the annual budget is established by the Library Board of Trustees and incorporated into the budget of the City of Elmhurst.
