Who Can Get an Elmhurst Public Library Card
Residents of Incorporated Elmhurst:
- Present two forms of identification that include your name and current address. (One should be a picture ID).
- Acceptable IDs include a driver's license; a printed bank check; a recent utility bill, or an automobile registration
Residents of Incorporated Elmhurst under 14 years of age:
- May use identification with the family name and address (see above)
- Must also have a signature of a parent who resides in Elmhurst on their library card application
Residents of Unincorporated Elmhurst:
- Residents of unincorporated Elmhurst living in areas served by School District 205 may purchase a library card. Please call the library circulation department for details at 630-279-8696.
How to Get an Elmhurst Public Library Card
- Apply in person
- Print an application or pick up one at the Checkout Desk.
- Present application and 2 ID's at the library.
- Apply online
- Fill out and submit online library card application.
- You will be notified by e-mail when your card is ready for pickup (usually within 2 hours)
- Your card will be activated when you present 2 ID's at the library.
