Guides for Raising Readers
The Elmhurst Public Library's staff strives to connect children with the wonderful world of books. Our goal is "to give the right book to the right child at the right time." It is essential that parents, teachers and other adult caregivers also promote books and encourage reading. Together, we can introduce young people to a variety of stories and books to meet their special needs and to broaden their experiences. The following list is a sampling of available resources which provide guidance in selecting materials appropriate to children's ages levels and interests.
