Part-Time Adult Services Librarian( Part-time )
Do you want to work on a challenging and fast-paced reference desk? Join us at the Elmhurst Public Library. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, customer service oriented reference librarian. Part-time librarians at Elmhurst are considered valued members of the reference team. They are assigned collection areas and are encouraged to contribute ideas, displays, book discussions and more. Hours consist of 18.5 hours a week (12 hours on desk in 4 hour shifts, plus 6.5 flex-time for off desk hours) including one assigned night.
REQUIREMENTS:*An ALA-accredited MLS
*Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
*The ability to maintain a good attitude and a sense of humor during stressful situations
*Above average computer skills
*The ability and desire to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings and weekends on rotation.
Pay range begins at $21.38 per hour with performance review after first 6 months.

Adult Services (Permanent Part Time) THIS IS NOT A SUMMER JOB!
Are you good with computers? Are you better with people? The Adult Services department is seeking a positive person to work as an Assistant in our computer area. You will have a set schedule which will include Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 5pm-9pm. Position available May 1st.
REQUIREMENTS:* Proficient knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the Internet.
* General comfort around computers and new computer programs.
* Ability to interact patiently and pleasantly with people of all ages.
* Read, write and communicate fluently in English.
16 hours per week. $13.01 per hour.
